Pros of Glass Bottles

Aesthetics: Glass packaging offers customers a premium experience by its appearance and the feeling when you hold it in your hand, which makes customers put glass bottle at the top place for containing products. Companies primarily choose glass bottle to promote any product that needs to give customers a sophisticated image for marketing. Some of the products that fall into this category are luxury spirits, fruit juices and craft cold brew.

Recyclability: Glass bottles are 100% recyclable. No matter what product put in them and how many times it has been used, they can be reused countless times without it degrading in quality and purity.

Chemical-resistant: Glass has intrinsic properties of chemical resistance so they are needed for sensitive products. This is favorable for liquids that are to be stored for a long period of time, such as spirits and other alcoholic beverages. For pharmaceutical products, glass bottle is the most suitable packaging. Also, they are strong enough to withstand high temperature from pasteurization.

Non-toxic: Glass is not detrimental; it does not contain substances that could be harmful for human health. Compared to plastic bottle, you dont need to worry about the leaching of chemicals. A risk exists with some plastic bottles in that chemicals used to make these materials may leach into the contents, especially when the contents are heated. One of the primary concerns is bisphenol A or BPA. Some research suggests that BPA exposure is linked to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease and diabetes. As the public keeps on learning about bisphenol A (BPA) and other potentially toxic compounds in plastics, manufacturers of beverages and other natural products should start switching to glass.

Cons of Glass Bottles

Transportation cost: The shipping freight of glass bottles is more than plastic bottles. This is because glass has more weight and is more fragile. Buyers must be must take the risk of cracks into consideration.
